Introduction:
The Goods & Service tax bill (GST bill) officially known as The Constitution (122 amendment) Bill 2014, proposes a national Value added tax to be implemented in India from 01 April 2017. 
The 122nd Constitution Amendment Bill that will enable the introduction of GST was passed in the Lok Sabha on 12 May 2015 and passed in Rajya Sabha on 3rd Aug 2016. It extends to the 
whole of India includes Jammu & Kashmir.In Short, GST is a tax on goods and services with comprehensive and continuous chain of setoff  benefits from the Producer’s point and Service 
provider’s point up to the retailer level. GST has 25 chapters, 162 sections, 4 schedules & 1 GST Valuation Rule.
